Risen 3’s Demon Hunters faction sounds like the one to side with

Or just form an alliance with everyone for completion’s sake First came theCGI trailerforRisen 3: Titan Lords, and now, screenshots. The one above? My favorite of the pack by a wide margin. Some of the others are oddly blinding. The game features three factions and one of them is called the Demon Hunters. With a name like that, sure, sign me right up. This once-fearsome cult hopes to return with a vengeance and reclaim a lost citadel over the course ofTitan Lords....

Sony acknowledges Vita, saves Banner Saga Vita port

It’s a Christmas miracle While Sony is busy blaming everyone but themselves for the failure of the Vita, they basically took it and shot it behind the barn. There’s almost nothing coming out for it from Sony, and as I’ve noted in the past, Atlus is a first-party Vita developer at this point. Strangely enough though, they answered the call of fans and have saved the ill-fatedBanner SagaVita project. The game is finally coming to consoles next year, and although the Vita version was going to be dropped, Gio Corsi of Sony (Director of Third Party Production & Developer Relations) notes that they are swooping in and saving the day to help work on it....

Super stylish rhythm game Unbeatable has cleared its initial Kickstarter goal

A demo is on the way, too Unbeatableis an anime-infused rhythm game where music is illegal and you do crimes. D-Cell Games launched itsKickstarter campaignforUnbeatableyesterday with a goal of $55,000. As of this morning, less than 24 hours later, that goal’s already been cleared. It’s pretty easy to explain what makes this Kickstarter pitch so compelling, from its extremely stylish look and rockin’ soundtrack to the two-button rhythm gameplay. The Daily Hotness: Shanghai Batman

Wow. I’d love to watch a Batman series as stylish and interesting as this short. Love svelte Bane, though giant Bane was a bit much. Better still, this is one of the best interpretations of Catwoman ever. Apparently I need to catch up on these super stylish shorts DC has been doing; that terribleUnder the Red Hoodfilm soured me on their modern animated efforts. Today, Fraser Brown reviewedStarvoid, which reminds me that I’m hungry, offbeat extraordinaire Tony Poncedropped part one in his series aimed to explain why fan made games are awesome, and people are complaining (in a story fromyesterday) about how Sony botched bringing PSOne Classics to Vita, but I’m playingVagrant Storyon my Vita, so, yeah, whatever....

The top 33 indie games to look for in 2016

Or 2017, or 2018… Alright, last time I did this, most of these games didn’t come out the next year. In fact, some of the “top indies of 2013” according to mestillaren’t out. That’s the indie lifestyle I suppose, releasing a game “when it’s ready.” Hopefully I have better luck this time, and these games actually come out this year. Hopefully. Why 33? Well, it’s actually my favorite number! When I was a kid (and even now), Patrick Ewing was my go-to role model athlete....

This Dead Space fan movie blew me away

It might only be a few minutes long but it’s worth the watch We might never get around to seeing alive-actionDead Spacemovie on the big screenbut I’m not sure if a film coming out of Hollywood would nail the aesthetic of the games as well asthis short, fan-made film. It’s just under three-and-a-half minutes long and it looks just like Issac Clarke on the Ishimura clad in his distinctive engineer’s outfit....

Warframe just got control improvements on Nintendo Switch

Today’s update tackles the deadzone issue WhileWarframemade it over to Nintendo Switchin a commendable state thanks to the folks at Panic Button, there’s always room for improvement. The game didn’t become the success it is today without that drive. On that note, there’s a new update out today with performance and control enhancements. The team spoke at length about tightening up the controls. It was a multipronged effort. One major issue addressed in this patch is the fixing of an issue where almost 50% controller input was required before a hip-fire camera manipulation could be executed....
