The same ‘unified’ UI that Battlefield 1 will have DICE has rolled out its new “centralized”user interfaceforBattlefield 4on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The revised UI is the same one we’ll see inBattlefield 1this October and in fact if and when you own both games, it’ll be possible to switch between them right from the in-game menu. Now, I don’t know how often that feature will actually be used, but consistency across the games is nice....

It seems that a cool custom Sega Genesis based on “Invader! Squid Girl” has spawned from the Japanese 2chan image boards. This particular anime series is relatively popular, though I’ve unfortunately never seen it. Apparently within the series there’s a mock version of the Genesis called the Ika Drive which some insane fan has seen fit to recreate by painting up a console. What blows my mind is that he/she seemed to have created box art for the sucker too....

By all accounts,Blacksite: Area 51is a generic shooter. It features a generic aliens-attack-earth plot line, you’re tasked with fighting them off with generic weaponry, and we’d be surprised if you didn’t encounter generic stereotypes of military personnel, women, aliens, minorities, minotaurs, slices of bread, and fruit flies.With all of that overarching mediocrity already in place, how did they manage to craft such an evocative ad for the thing?
