The real hell is not knowing Dante’s Infernois something of a last-gen cult classic. It’s a bastardized re-imagining of the 14th-century poem, as Dante hacks and slashes his way through hell to save his lover Beatrice from Satan’s icy clutches. It, uh, takes some artistic liberties. Still, Visceral’s (RIP) depiction of hell is one of the more interesting and gruesome ones that video games have ever attempted. There’s a fine opportunity soon enough to see if it still holds up....

Upcoming free-to-play mech gameHawkenwill have its world and fiction expanded via a web series produced by Warner Premier. Though it’s not clear whether this will be an animated or live-action series with CGI (likethe promotional shorts for the game), I can’t imagine it will be a low-budget series. The production company is banking on the success ofMortal Kombat: Legacyseries which has received over 70 million views since launch. It’s hard to imagine that same success for a new series about mechs, but it will be an interesting production to watch develop, nonetheless....

Applin, Sweet Apple, and Tart Apple are new Pokémon and evolution items added intoPokémon Goas of the Sweet Discoveries event on April 24. But the evolution items needed to evolve Applin into Appletun or Flapple are proving difficult for trainers to find. The Sweet and Tart Apples inPokémon Gocan only be found randomly by clicking an Apple that appears on the overworld as you pass it. These Apples are rare, and there’s no guarantee once the current event ends that any will spawn again, which is making it difficult for trainers to collect the amount needed for each evolution ahead of time....
