Protester argues against modchip raids, gets unrelated copypasta in return

I’ve complained many times about the use of federal law to crack down on videogame piracy, or indeed, any piracy. As far as I’m concerned, until online pedophile rings have been dealt with and terrorists aren’t able to operate under the government’s nose, there is absolutely no excuse for Homeland Security to waste its resources targetting such minor ‘crimes’ as game machine modification. Jason Richey, aWorld of Warcraftfan with a modchip on his shoulder, is of similar mind....

Space Sluggers is chaotic and so incredibly cheesy

Everyone fights, no one quits I’m quite a fan of old-school action shoot-’em-ups. Back in the day, I used to venture off to an arcade at my local pizza place and just chill out. With particular titles likeIkari Warriors,Smash TV, andCommandofocusing on bombarding players with waves of enemies and monsters, it was easy to let your twitch-based instincts kick in and go with the flow. Not many games nowadays allow you to experience that same exuberant state of bliss these classic titles could inspire, and quite frankly, a lot of games have forgotten the importance of just letting players shoot stuff up....

The Nintendo Switch won’t have video/streaming platforms at launch, and that’s okay

Not every gaming machine needs to be a Roku or Fire TV Back in the day, it was relatively important for a console to have access to some array of video streaming services. The Wii didn’t play DVDs or Blu-Ray discs by default, but it did house the Netflix app, which many folks used. Microsoft also touted its new Xbox One as an “entertainment box” for a while, and is now the only console that can run Ultra HD Blu-Rays (the PS4 Pro can’t)....
