Instant favorite Splatoon‘s newest map, Flounder Heights, is amazing. It takes place on top of an apartment complex and is absolutelygigantic. There’s so many routes to take at any given time! There is a lot of potential in this map, and it is a blast to think of new ways to approach things. I’ve had a chance to play the new map in each of the four game modes, and I’m already gushing about it....

Together, we smashed clams and explored Bikini Bottom to collect enough coins to hatch more buddies. Now, with three characters by my side, I can defeat the first boss and open treasure chests! This journey would have been smoother ifSpongeBob Simulatorcodes had been available, but alas, we are still waiting to see this feature in the following updates....

Stig Asmussen, the director of such critically and commercially lauded titles as EA’sStar Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderandStar Wars Jedi: Survivoris departing from the company, per Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. Asmussen, whose past works include directingGod of War IIIfor Santa Monica Studio, will be leaving EA “to pursue other adventures,” the company said in a statement toBloomberg. As of this writing, it is unclear what these “other adventures” entail. “After careful thought and consideration, Stig Asmussen has decided to leave Respawn to pursue other adventures, and we wish him the best of luck,” an EA spokesperson told Bloomberg....

How disappointing I should have known this all along, but I was holding out hope that it would actually be a new character. That “mysterious character” inDragon Ball Xenoverseis a custom creation. So, in essence, it’s “you.” You’ll be able to create your own character from parts using Earthling, Majin, and Namekian races (and more). Then said character will aid Trunks in an adventure that begins in the hub area known as Toki Toki City....

Where is Geostorm?! Awards season continues this week with the nominations for the 38th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards. Contrary to every other award show of the year, seeing your name on the list isn’t particularly gratifying. The Razzies have come to represent the worst that Hollywood has offered up for the year through phoned in performances, unnecessary sequels, and poorly written scripts. You travel back to ’80s heydays, transform into a child, and complete various in-game challenges to defeat an evil version of the series’ host, Shinya Arino....
