Of all theStarfieldcustomization mods on this list, this might just be the best.Starfield Hair and Beards – RTFPadds tons of standalone hair and beard options to the game, which can be used on both male and female characters.
What really makes this mod stand out is how unique each style is. They’re all different from what you can expect to find in the base game ofStarfield, yet they still look like they totally belong in this universe.
Cyberpunk Eyes – RTFP
There are no prizes for guessing what you get when you installCyberpunk Eyes – RTFP. 97 new eye colors inStarfield, covering just about all the bases you’ll ever need in this regard.
While the vibrant new eye colors are great, the cyberpunk-themed ones are the highlight here. Some eye textures look like they’re integrated with various pieces of technology, while others even have a deep black sclera for a unique look you won’t find in vanillaStarfield. This one’s a must-have.
Starfarer’s Makeup – RTFP
In total,Starfarer’s Makeup – RTFPadds six blushes, eight eyeliners, eight tattoos, and six lipstick accents toStarfield‘s character creator. All are completely standalone – no replacers here.
Ultimately, Starfarer’s Makeup – RTFP won’t completely revolutionize yourStarfieldcharacter creation experience, but it can enhance it, even a little bit, meaning it’s worth having.
More Piercings – RTFP
More Piercings – RTFPis perfect for adding that final piece of personality to yourStarfieldcharacter, with 14 new piercing options for females and 12 for males. Earrings, nose rings, septum piercings – you name it, this mod has it.
Bethesda games have often missed out these more minor details of character customization, but this mod from Nyvrak is a great option forStarfieldplayers.
Tattoo Recycle – RTFP
Tattoos! How can you complain about more tattoos?Tattoo Recycle – RTFPis straightforward stuff, giving you 22 new tattoos to experiment with duringStarfieldcharacter creation.
Some of these tattoos are minor variations of others, but there’s enough variation here that there’s something that every player can use. One thing is for sure: the tattoos found in Tattoo Recycle – RTFP are loud, so if you’re searching for more subtle designs, you won’t find them here.
Vivid Hair Colors
You can absolutely make the argument thatStarfield‘s hair options are a little too dark by default, butVivid Hair Colorsis here to address this. All 15 of the game’s hair colors have been replaced by this mod, providing brighter versions instead.
This includes beard and eyebrow hair, too, extending thisStarfieldcustomization mod a little further. Since the hair textures are now just solid colors, creator GothikaGeist has been able to half the texture size, meaning Vivid Hair Colors is also a slight performance optimizer.
Subtle Moles and Freckles – RTFP
If you’re a gamer who likes to dive into the nitty-gritty details of yourStarfieldcharacter customization, thenSubtle Moles and Freckles – RTFPcould be right up your alley.
Adding six freckle and nine new mole options, this mod is intended to be used alongside others to provide the final touch of detail to yourStarfieldprotagonist. It’s standalone, too, so it doesn’t replace any of the game’s existing options in this regard.
Better Backgrounds
Better Backgroundsisn’t a mod that changes yourStarfieldcharacter’s appearance. Instead, it’s all about changing their background, making big changes to the vanilla options as well as adding 20 new ones. Creator senterpat felt the original offerings were “pretty lackluster, with no real impact on gameplay at all.”
They’ve set out to fix that here, with backgrounds now encouraging players to change their playstyles to reap the rewards. I’m counting this one as aStarfieldcustomization mod.
Shattered Space Headparts
Starfield: Shattered Spacemodshave already made a ton of additions to Bethesda’s latest expansion, andShattered Space Headpartsis one of many. This is a pretty small addition, but one that’s worth adding to your load order.
But what does it actually do?Shattered Spacehas six new hairstyles used exclusively by NPCs, and this mod simply makes them usable for players, too.
