The sixth person ever to achieve it!
Kevin Birrell, who goes by the alias of KevinDDR, has joined the few, the proud, theTetrisGrandmasters. He is only the sixth person in the world to ever accomplish this feat, which should already give you an idea as to how ridiculous it is.
The run begins at around2:24:00 of the Twitch stream, though that’s just the final level. Evidently, to evengetto the qualifying round of the Grandmaster rank, Mr. Birrell had to achieve the best possible rank in four of seven of his previous games. Then, he had achanceto enter the qualifying round for Grandmaster. It all culminates ininvisible flippin’Tetris, in which he must perform a certain number of tetrises to achieve the ultimate rank. According to people who know way more about this than me, Mr. Birrell just barely made it through!
