Snoopy and Woodstock cooperate
Those trailers forThe Peanuts Movieare pretty dang cute. It’s neat to see the computer models and animation done in the style of the old cartoons. The movie will show up in theaters on November 6.
In a movehearkening back to the 1990s, Activision is publishing a video game based (loosely) on the movie. Where the film is about a new girl moving to town and Charlie Brown developing a crush,The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventureis a platformer in which Snoopy and Woodstock put on different costumes and collect jelly beans. Sure.
So far, the only noteworthy piece of gameplay is the two-player cooperative mode, which has the second player controlling Woodstock, who appears to control differently than Snoopy. Otherwise, it looks like a fairly standard platformer with the same style of animation as the movie.
The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventureis set to release on November 3 for 3DS, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
