It’s somewhat comforting to know that despite the closure of many of thelarger Australian development studios, there are still a fair few indie developers out there to pick up the slack. One of such studios is the Melbourne-basedLeague of Geeks, who have just announced that theirKickstarter-fundeddigital board game,Armello, will be receiving its first major DLC pack. Check out the trailer above.

TheUsurpers Hero Packis intended to add new items to the game that will provide each of its four animal clans with various bonuses and benefits, although the specifics are not known at this point. Alongside that, four new playable heroes will be added to the game that, according to the developers, are as follows:

The DLC is scheduled for release on August 30 for the price of $10 USD alongside an Xbox One port that will retail at $20 USD. This will mean that the game will be available on Steam/GOG (Windows, macOS, Linux), PS4 and Xbox One. Basically, you’ll be able to play it on any modern piece of hardware that isn’t anoften-neglected Sony handheldor something manufactured by Nintendo.

[Disclosure: Actually, it’s because it’s the first tip that Kyle MacGregor’s ever sent us from the other side – a Destructoid alumnus. Now that we’ve talked about his game we have a reason to ignore the rest of his emails 😉 Also, because Nekro happens to be in Australia and this was Kotaku Australia’s Game of the Year. Fine, the game is nice looking, don’t let it go to your head, Kyle! Your next press release better be about furry hentai bondage. -Niero]
