Blizzard is gearing up for their final (well, hopefully final) launch ofDiablo III‘s Real Money Auction House (RMAH), that utilizes real currency in exchange for sweet, sweet pixels.
It seems as if Blizzard has updated the terms of use however at the last minute, as an authenticator is now required to add money to your Battle.net balance (to buy items in the AH), or to send your winnings to your Battle.net balance (think ofBattle.net balancelike a Steam wallet). Essentially what this boils down to is that you need an authenticator to do anything significant on the RMAH.
The only two options are tobuy a physical token, or to download thefree app on your smartphone. In case you’re reserved about giving Blizzard your money, keep in mind that the company claims that they make no profit on the tokens themselves (given the production costs). Either way, if you’re looking to dive into the RMAH and do not have a smartphone, now is the time to order an authenticator, post-haste.
