With it’s sleek HD visualsCarrier Command: Gaea Missiondoesn’t seem to bear much resemblance to the game I played on an old MS DOS machine back in the early nineties, but I suppose that’s to be expected when you’re resurrecting a series that’s remained relatively untouched for nearly two and a half decades.

Rising StarGames and Bohemia Interactive are releasing a series of episodic mini-games as a prelude toGaea Missionin hopes of getting people interested in the final product. TitledCarrier Command: Recruits,  the first episode “Head Hunter” puts players in the role of an analyst in the process of recruitment.

Having tried my hand atRecruits,  now available via the title’s officialwebsite, I can safely say thatGaea Mission‘s trailerhas me much more excited than this themed take onMinesweeper. However, dedicated players who complete an episode an share via Facebook or Twitter before August 20th will have the opportunity to win a digital copy of Gaea Mission on PC and earn access to the beta.
