Australian developer Firemint, best known as a maker of iOS titles including the multi-million sellingFlight Control, has announced today that they have acquiredPuzzle Questdeveloper Infinite Interactive. Infinite’s founder and lead designer Steven Fawkner and his team will be absorbed into Firemint where they will continue work on an unannounced title already in development.

Infinite Interactive moved into the casual space some time ago whenPuzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlordsachieved popularity, but the series has failed to recapture either the critical or commercial success of their initial effort with it’s pair of follow-ups on the formula,GalactrixandPuzzle Quest 2.
