Races to PS3, PS4 and Vita this Spring
One of the most visually interesting race games of its day is coming back at today’s higher resolutions.Cel Damage, a competitive, kart-style racing game with a cartoon aesthetic will be reborn asCel Damage HDand release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita this Spring. It will be the first release by Finish Line Games, a Toronto-based independent developer, and we can expect the press to get their first look at GDC next month.
The original title was absolutely a matter of style over substance, a so-so racing game that looked so spectacular it was harder to call it mediocre. So, maybe this is an opportunity to makeCel Damagethe game it could have been, but the way these “HD” versions of games so often go, it’s hard to be optimistic.
