I am not sorry for the puns I make, Putt-Putt

You wanna go to the moon with Putt-Putt or find missing kelp seeds with Freddi Fish? Get your wallets ready, because there’s a whole slew of classic Humongous Entertainment games coming to Steam. And if you answered no to either of those questions, we just can’t be friends anymore.

Night Dive Studios, classic game developer specializing in restoring and optimizing games from yesteryear, has teamed up with Tommo Inc. to bring all 28 of Humongous Entertainment’s catalogue to Steam. Of note, Night Dive was responsible for restoring some of my favorite games:System Shock 2,Harvester, andI Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, which are not for children, but are for depraved people like me.

Starting today and staggered throughout June 6, you can get your Humongous on via Steam. That means you might not see your favorite game until June. The upside? You have plenty of time to wade through the others before they all pile up on you. They’re also pretty cheap, and on sale currently for $2.49 and $3.49 apiece.

Before I played drafts on my distaff or went upstairs and got lost, I was hooked on Humongous Entertainment’s expansive library of point-and-click adventures for kids. Edutainment or not, once those games started up, I meant business. No Mom, I don’t want to come eat my Kraft macaroni and cheese with hot dogs sliced up in it right now, because I’m solving a mystery. It can wait. But you know what can’t? Reliving my childhood and purchasing the first wave of these games, including one of my favorites,Putt-Putt Joins the Parade. Deuces, y’all.
