Final Fantasy XIVis gearing up for its new massive 2.5 update, called “Before the Fall.” The patch will be broken up into two parts. The first of which will drop next week with extra main scenario quests, boss fights, Wanderer’s Palace (hard), Amdapor Keep (hard), more Hildebrand quests, an Odin boss fight, and a new 24-person raid called The World of Darkness.
Other parts will arrive in February and March, and thus, before the expansion. The biggest highlight? The Manderville Gold Saucer, Triple Triad, and Chocobo Racing all in late February! Go straight into the video at 4:30 for nostalgic music galore.
Every content update is really hefty, and provides hundreds of hours of stuff to do. Expect some impressions next week, and a full updated review after the second part hits.
