EA Sports has started a surprise maintenance forEA FC 25that’s currently live as of writing, and it has disrupted all kinds of online matchmaking.
Unlike the usual patterns, EA Sports didn’t make a prior announcement about the maintenance. Players only learned about the timings from an in-game message that didn’t pop up for everyone. Thankfully, we have confirmed information about when the servers will be back.
EA FC 25 server maintenance schedule (May 7)
The maintenance began as expected on May 7. It started at7:30am UTC/00:30am PST/2:30am CT/3:30am EST. Based on the in-game message, the servers will be unavailable for at least seven and half hours since the maintenance began.
If there are no more delays, the servers will be operational at3:00pm UTC/8:00am PST/10:00am CT/11:00am EST. This is assuming that the maintenance will go as intended, as there have been past instances when maintenance has been extended. We will update the fresh timings accordingly.
There’s no additional information about why this maintenance has been conducted, but it comes less a week since Title Update 14 was released, which included major gameplay changes.
Which EA FC 25 modes will be affected?
The latest maintenance has affected all forms of online services associated with the game. This means that Ultimate Team is completely out of order. If you didn’t manage to finish your Champs finals matches (like me), the chances are wasted.
You can’t play Squad Battles orDivision Rivalsas well till the servers have been restored. Clubs and online friendlies also appear to be out of order. While you’ll be able to enter Ultimate Team, and attempts at matchmaking will result in an error message.
If you’re that desperate to play the game, ensure to try out the Career Mode. EA Sports has made some brilliant changes to the modes, and you can even get in the shoes of Iconic legends like Zidane and Beckham. Hopefully, today’s maintenance will be smooth and end at the scheduled times.
