‘All assets secured’
Based on a brand new video yesterday that popped up onthe defunctGameTrailers channel from co-founder Brandon Jones, IGN has acquired GT’s entire back catalog. Their “massive library” will now be archived onthe revived YouTube channel, along with updated newer trailers as they arrive and, according to the announcement video “maybe more.”
GameTrailers had alotof great retrospectives (it’s what got me into the site in the first place) so this makes me happy.Metal Gear, Mortal Kombat, Grand Theft Auto, Star Wars, Resident Evil(my favorite of theirs),Strider, Zelda, Castlevania, Tomb Raider, Batman, Halo, Prince of Persia, Final Fantasy, Ratchet & Clank, Warcraft,andMetroidretrospectives are already live.
