Kait and Marcus are in the item shop
Gears of WarinvadesFortnitethis week, with a series of quests for cosmetic rewards, as well as the arrival of Kait and Marcus on the shop.
The bundle is 2000 V-Bucks, and includes both Kait and Marcus, as well as two sets of back bling, and a spray. you may also opt to get them individually for 1,500 V-Bucks. And, there’s a little bonus unlock for Marcus:
“When you play a match on Xbox Series X|S after purchasing the Marcus Fenix Outfit, you’ll unlock the Outfit’s Matte Black Style — a memento of his Xbox history.”
As an FYI, you don’t even need to play a match in my experience: it just unlocked as soon as I got it on Xbox series X.
If you don’t want to grab the characters from the shop, you can do a series of quests for free for XP and aGearsspray.
For reference, here are the Gears of War invadesFortniteDelta-One quests you’ll need to complete:
The quests actually pretty easy. So the COG Tags show up on your radar after you enter their zone that’s clearly marked on the map. They’re typically outdoors, and right on the floor.
Barriers are literally the concrete blocks that you hide behind in theGears of Warseries proper. You’ll be able to see which ones are the quest-sensitive barriers becausethey have theGears of Warlogo on them.
“Damage Opponent with a melee attack” is easy to do at the start of the game. Drop when you see a lot of people heading out of the bus, then follow someone, andhit them with your pickaxe. It’ll register as “melee” damage
Shotgun damage is the same concept: just find one in a densely packed area and hit an opponent vaguely anywhere.
Finding Thrashball Memorabilia is similar to COG Tags, but they’re generally closer to building perimeters than they are out in the open. The easiest way to grab them all at once is to head to Condo Canyon, as it has all three collectibles you’ll need in the same place.
And that’s it! You’ll get yourGearsspray for all your efforts. You have seven days from today to finish this questline.
