Shon Goodman of Omaha, Nebraska thought he had his holiday shopping all worked out when he picked up the used PSP at a local store. Little did he know that the handheld contained a horrible secret that would destroy Christmas for his ten year-old son, Kade. It was, brace yourselves, a photo of a penis saved as a background image.

The image was discovered by an older brother before the poor, unsuspecting kid got an eyeful. After unsuccessfully trying to remove the image, Shon returned the PSP to the store where it was deleted. He was given a free game for his trouble. Clearly, this is something that he also needed to immediately contact his local news station about.

“It’s something that’s not meant to be seen by a child’s eye,” the father said.

Now, I haven’t seen the image and I certainly did not sell a used PSP to a store in Omaha three weeks ago, but that statement seems a little odd to me. Shouldn’t his ten year-old son also have a penis? Has the kid just never seen it? How could that possibly be?

Perhaps — working as I do for a website whose motto is, “Also, cocks” — I don’t have the most objective viewpoint on this. It seems to me, though, that if you’re getting worked up over the idea that your kid might see a penis, you should be more concerned about your maturity level than the ten year-old’s.
