Got me climbing the walls

Retro-fans Hamster continues with its efforts to bring the catalogue of obscure ’80s developer Nichibutsu to a modern audience. This week’s Arcade Archives release isCrazy Climber 2, now available to download on Nintendo Switch.

Released exclusively to the Japanese arcade market in 1988,Crazy Climber 2was the sequel to Nichibutsu’s own skyscraper-scaling classic, which had launched eight years earlier. While retaining the original title’s control system and concepts,Crazy Climber 2had much improved visuals, music, and sound. The sequel also included new features such as multiple routes, animated billboards, and bonuses to be earned by carousing with gals sat precariously on windowsills.
