Thank goodness
Following recent issues withSaints Row IVgetting properly classified by the Australian Classification Board, it’s something of a pleasant surprise to see thatGrand Theft Auto Vhas moved through the process andsuccessfully come outwith an R18+ rating.
The game’s drug use — described by the board as “high impact” — was cause for concern, as it has been with other games likeState of Decay.GTA Valso has plenty of sex, nudity, violence, and harsh language, but those categories all got away with “strong impact” marks.
I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand the thought process that goes into rating media.
