After years of surviving on a thin stew of import model kits and Crunchyroll viewings ofIron Blooded Orphans, North AmericanGundamfans are finally getting some love. Namco Bandai is bringingMobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Force(that’s a heck of a title) to our western Vitas.
The Vita release will includeVirtual-Onlike 2-on-2 arena duels where mech pilots square off in teams and try to compliment each other’s mechs and playstyle to get the upper hand on their enemy. There will also be a team battle mode where players take command of a small squad of Gundams and a battleship and do battle against a rival squad.
The Extreme Force mode seems to be the meat of the game and focuses on a mix of original missions and recreating scenarios from theGundamuniverse. Sounds good to me so long as I get to play as Norris Packard and take out someGuntanks in a custom Gouf.
