Emoting while flying through the air isn’t a new trick toHelldivers 2players, but the related bug that prevents fall damage is the latest topic thanks to a recent clip. Asshared by Reddit user Chunke-Funke-Monke(excellent name) on the officialHelldivers 2subreddit, whipping out a salute or hug emote while in the air may prevent lethal fall damage.

The clip, posted yesterday, shows their diver sailing through the air, busting out a handshake emote before hitting the ground. Miraculously, the diver lives with about a third of their health remaining. Talk arose about the bug, and predictably, a lot of playerswant it to remain. The new Arrowhead Games CEO agrees.
