Unreal Engine 4, eh?
It’s about time we get anotherTekkengame. Despite the fact that my last true favoriteTekkengame wasTekken 3with Hwoarang, Eddy, and Jin, the officialTekken 7trailer still has me sufficiently excited.
However, bizarrely enough, this iteration ofTekkenwill be built via Unreal Engine 4. WhileInjustice: Gods Among Us,Mortal Kombat 9, andMortal Kombat vs. DC Universewere built with Unreal Engine 3, there simply aren’t too many other fighters out there making use of the same tools to craft their games from the ground up.
The trailer doesn’t give us much to go on, but additional information will be coming out of San Diego Comic-Con on July 25. So far, all we can truly confirm is that it’s coming to next-gen consoles. But we knew that already, didn’t we?
