Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2is a game consisting of three main parts. You have the campaign, PvE, and PvP multiplayer modes that will keep you engrossed for dozens of hours. But it’s definitely worth knowing how long the campaign will take you.
I believe that thecampaign is the best place to start withWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. It’ll teach you the basic mechanics while also giving you an epic story to experience that blew me away and continues to do so every time I replay a mission. However, it’s a time commitment, and you’re going to need to make sure you’ve got enough to get through it before you can even contemplate exploring the wider multiplayer offerings.
How long is theWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2campaign?
The campaign inWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2is between 10 to 12 hours long. It took me 11 hours to get through onNormal difficultywhile exploring every area and listening to all the conversations between NPCs. It would definitely take less time if you play on the easiest difficulty mode and blast through every mission and cutscene. However, if you crank the difficulty up, you’re likely in for a 20-hour campaign.
That’s far from allWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2has to offer you, though. The game’s PvE multiplayer Operations mode is packed with classes that all have perks and weapons that you can only level up with experience earned from completed missions. This will add dozens of hours to your time with the game, and that’s without even touching the PvP multiplayer mode.
Eternal War is the PvP multiplayer mode. All experience earned here also levels up your classes and weapons and helps you build up your collection of cosmetics. This is easily the toughest mode to master, because no matter how powerful your classes are, it’s skill that will help you rise to the top of the PvP lobbies.
Finally, developer Saber Interactive haspost-launch content plannedfor the game that includes new modes, enemies, and even Prestige ranks for PvP. This is just the first four seasons too. There could be more down the road as all the content for the first season is added to the game. You could pour hundreds of hours into the game if you want to see everything it has to offer, and given the way it feels to play, I think that’s exactly what I’ll be doing.
