Where to find Whale Shark in Fisch
The Whale Shark can be found in the open ocean, specifically above the Desolate Deep. However, it will only appear during a Shark Hunt event. You’ll get a pop-up on the top of your screen letting you know when it’s happening.
Simply head out to the spot where the shark hunt is taking place, and hook the Whale Shark as fast as you can so you don’t miss out on it. Luckily, if someone else hooks it, so long as you hook it at the same time, you’ll both catch the shark.
Whale Sharks also prefer to appear during the daytime only when the weather is clear. They’re also more likely to appear during the summer or the autumn.
Shark Hunts are not always occurring, and when they do, there’s a chance you’ll get another shark instead, such as a Great White. You can server-hop if you’re having trouble getting one to spawn.
How to get a Whale Shark in Fisch
Once you’ve made it to the location of the Shark Hunt, cast out your rod. Whale Sharks have a preference for shrimp as bait, so be sure to use them when trying to reel them in. When you hook it, you’ll get a red exclamation point above you.
Whale Sharks don’t move particularly fast, so luckily, you won’t have to worry about it thrashing all around the fishing bar. But, you will still get hit with a 70% decrease in progress speed. They’re still huge, so ensure you have atop-tier rodstrong enough to handle its size.
Unfortunately, Shark Hunts are the only place you’re going to find this massive shark. It is a Mythical catch, after all. If you miss out on the current hunt, you’ll need to wait for another one to begin for a chance to catch one. As soon as you get the notification, I recommend heading to the location right away for the best chance.
Once you have successfully caught the Whale Shark, you’ll get a whopping 3,000 XP for your hard work. Plus, since this shark is so big, you can sell it for a huge amount of money, typically around 10,000 C$.
