There are many sought-after glamour items inFinal Fantasy XIV, and while most of them can be obtained by spendingGilon the Marketboard, some can only be gained by completing certain quests. One such set is the Yakaku set, including the lovely Yakaku Dogi.
The Yakaku Dogi is a casual, loose-fitting, martial arts-style top that falls from one shoulder, revealing a default blossom tattoo on the bare arm. It’s a level one piece, meaning it can be worn by any race, class, or gender regardless of character level. For that reason, it’s one of the more popular items inFFXIV, but how to get it?
How to unlock the Yakaku Dogi in Final Fantasy XIV
The Yakaku Dogi is part of the Yakaku set, which is rewarded for completing the quest “An Auspicious Opportunity,” which makes up part of theTataru’s Grand Endeavorquest line. You’ll only be able to complete this quest once you’ve reached level 90 and ticked off a list of prerequisites.
First, you’ll need to have completed the MSQ up to and including the level 90 quest “Newfound Adventure.” That’s the easy part. From here on out, everything gets a little bit complicated, and you may need to go back and complete lower-level content to continue the Tataru’s Grand Endeavor quest line and unlock the quest that rewards the Dogi and the rest of the Yakaku set.
1. Complete the Shadow of Mhach quest line
The Shadow of MhachAlliance Raidswere added as part of Heavensward, so the following quests are level 60. You need to complete all of them and their associated Alliance Raids, too, before you may continue the Tataru’s Grand Endeavor storyline:

To further continue the Tataru’s Grand Endeavor quest line and unlock the second quest “Soaring Profits”, you’ll also need to completeStormblood’s The Four Lords quest line. This will take you through a series of Dungeons andTrialsrather than Alliance Raids, and you’ll need to complete all of the following level 70 quests:

Now that you’ve worked through the two quest lines necessary to progress far enough into Tataru’s Grand Endeavor, getting your hands on the Yakaku set is remarkably easy.
After completing “The Fifth Lord” and the two previous Tataru’s Grand Endeavor quests, you’ll be able to pick up a third quest called “An Auspicious Opportunity” from Mehdjina in Old Sharlayan (X:11.8, Y:9.8). This quest consists of a lot of traveling around Kugane and The Ruby Sea, but is otherwise simple to complete.
