Where is the courtyard bridge fire puzzle inHogwarts Legacy?
The courtyard bridge fire puzzle is located in theViaduct Courtyard Floo Flame fast travel spot. You can find it close to the Great Hall, which you’ll unlock as you progress through the main story.

How to solve the courtyard bridge fire puzzle
The key to solving this puzzle is on the ground. Head over the bridge to the other side (from the Floo Flame spot) and look at the floor. You’ll see a circular contraption with four symbols and four Roman numerals. All you need to do is match those symbols with the Roman numeral depicted to solve the bridge torch puzzle.
There are four braziers on the bridge (two on each side) which you’ll need to light so they can be interacted with.You can use Incendio or Confringo to light the braziers. Incendio is the first spell you’ll learn, as it only requires you to complete Professor Hecat’s first assignment early in your playthrough. You’ll encounter this main story quest four to five hours into the story, so you won’t have to wait long to unlock it.
Once you unlock Incendio, interact with the bridge braziers and rotate the Roman numerals to match the symbols. Using the circular dish from earlier, you’ll match the brazier symbols, leading to the dish opening once you solve the puzzle.

After you’ve matched them all correctly, the symbol key will open like a sewer grate, and you’re able to go underneath it via a ladder into the aqueduct. There are three chests here: two of which are cosmetic items, andthe last one is a high-end orange-tier legendary piece of gear. You’ll also gain Hogwarts challenge progress in your Exploration section, bringing you one step closer to achieving perfection in your log.
You’ll receive a random, unidentified item when you first open the treasure chest with the legendary loot. If you save your game before opening this chest, you can reload the save if it’s a gear piece you don’t need. That way, if you need a piece, such as a legendary hat or cloak, you can go back to your old save until you get it. From here, once you unlock theRoom of Requirement, you can identify the item and get the item you need.
