HoYoverse showed up at Summer Game Fest 2022 with a fresh look atHonkai: Star Rail, an upcoming turn-based space RPG that’s coming for our free time and wallets.
Today’s trailer focuses on some of the (many) companions you’ll meet and the “exotic” Xianzhou Luofu location. Even without context, I kind of enjoyed the sights and sounds.
As the next step in theHonkaiseries,Honkai: Star Railis looking to rope in a fresh audience with its “newcomer-friendly strategic turn-based combat system” as well as “maze exploration, puzzle-solving, and instant action elements,” according to the developers.
This is my first real introduction to the game, and I am all about sipping tea while explosive space battles unfold in the background. Is this more your vibe than the usualGenshin Impactflair, or are youfully invested in Teyvat already(thanks but no thanks)? There are only so many hours in the day to make new friends, you know? Maybe a turn-based approach is more your speed, or maybe you’re just more into the interstellar vibe.
Honkai: Star Railis coming to PC and mobile platforms, and while we don’t have a release date, the game has beengetting in front of players with playtests.
