Let’s back up further. DoesCoral Islandeven have multiplayer?
No,Coral Islanddoesn’t have multiplayer. Yet.
Yeah, before we can even ask if there is co-op, there first has to besome sortof multiplayer, and there isn’t. However, while that may be bad news to some of you, there is a silver lining here. Multiplayer was a stretch goal during the game’s funding, and the community did manage to raise enough money for it. Stairway Games plans on adding multiplayer to the game at some point in the future, but it’s not there at release. When they do add it, they plan on allowing both a co-op mode and island visits so you’re able to stop by your friends’ farms.
So, when can we expect multiplayer? Stairway Games isn’t saying just yet. It’son the roadmap, but it doesn’t have an exact day. While this is speculation, I would assume that it won’t arrive until after the Switch version, which doesn’t have a planned date either. I expect we’ll be waiting a while, butStardew Valleydidn’t have multiplayer at launch, either.
Coral Islandis available now for PC,Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. It will be coming to Switch at a later date.
