I’m currently planning an episode ofConstructoidabout constructive criticism for gaming’s famous female protagonists. The idea is to talk about how they can be more effective and positive role models without alienating gamers in the process.
Two of the characters I was just jotting down as examples of awesome female role models (in gaming or gaming-like media) are Kumatora fromMother 3, and Marcelline fromAdventure Time. That’s why it was double-weird to have this artwork sent my way in the midst of that process, as italmostmashes the two characters into one. This art is great, but Marcelline would have made a way better Kumatora. I guess Princess Bubblegum is OK though.
And yes, it’s the weekend. News is slow. Plus, I’ll take any chance I can get to talk aboutAdventure TimeandMother 3.
