Netflix has made a short-and-sweet announcement that theCastlevaniaanimated series has secured a fourth season. The news was announcedvia an animated teaseron the official Netflix Twitter.
The first season ofCastlevaniahit the streaming service back in 2017, and won over fans and critics with its dark storytelling, brooding atmosphere and surprisingly wry sense of humour. It begins with the story of a down-and-out Trevor Belmont, who is called upon to offer his monster-hunting abilities by the land of Wallachia, after Count Vlad Dracula Tepes unleashes a storm of vengeance for the terrible and unjust murder of his wife.
Since the first season, the series has progressed to include more characters, locations and plot-lines – both original and adapted from the manyCastlevaniavideo games. The third season debuted on Netflix earlier this month, but there are currently no details regarding the release date of season four.
