Every once in awhile, Nintendo sends us an e-mail to remind us how awesome they are. You see, sometimes we can forgot. Personally, it’s been months since I’ve turned on my Wii to play a game that I didn’t have to play for “work.” So I guess it’s nice of Nintendo to remind us that, hey, people are actually buying their products. A lot of people.
Nintendo points out that, despite pricing shifts and SKU debacles that have hit the industry, the Wii has emerged as the best selling console of this month (this from NPD Group numbers and internal figures). Nintendo also reminds us both the Wii and the Nintendo DS have remained the two best-selling videogame systems in the US.
Additionally, new Wii titles are being added to the library at a faster rate than any other home console to date, at an average rate of nine a month. Nintendo were nice enough to provide us with a handy chart, which you can see above.
Hit the jump some more fast and furious facts, proving undeniably that even if you haven’t changed your Mii’s eyebrows in eight months, Nintendo’s still on top.
