Credits are set to roll on one arc ofOshi no Ko, and they nearly rolled on a character, too. There’s a lot of drama and tension heading into what might be the grand finale of this idol mystery. Here’s theOshi no KoChapter 148 release date, what time it’s out, and what we could possibly expect next.

Oshi no Ko Chapter 148 release date and time

Oshi no KoChapter 148 will go live onMay 8, 2024 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET.That’s two weeks out from its previous chapter, no. 147, so it’ll be a little bit more of a wait for the next piece of the puzzle.

While we don’t know how many chapters remain inOshi no Ko, it does feel like we’re speeding towards a conclusion of some kind. Now’s a good time to get caught up, or maybe update your social media filters to avoid any possible spoilers before May 8.

Oshi no Ko Ai stars in her eyes

Currently, the only official place to read new chapters ofOshi no Kois on theMangaPlus appfrom Shueisha. Unlike series likeJujutsu Kaisen, which is running on both Viz and MangaPlus, you’re stuck with one option for this showbiz rollercoaster.

That said, MangaPlus is also my preferred app for keeping up with currently running manga, and it’s easy enough to view on desktop, tablet, or mobile. No real concerns here. As for concerns around the safety of the cast ofOshi no Ko? Well, we’ll get into that in the “what to expect section,” following below withspoilers for everyOshi no Kochapter, including 147, ahead.

Oshi no Ko Ruby and Aqua

What to expect in Oshi no Ko Chapter 148

Can we each, in our respective corners, wherever you may be reading this, get a solemn moment of acknowledgment for series MVP Akane? The best actress-detective you’ve ever seen probably just saved Ruby from a tumble at the hands of Kamiki, selflessly adding more to her mountain ofdeath flagsin the process. Truly, no one has the Hoshino siblings’ backs like Akane.

Aside from the world’s tensest conversation, we also know that Ruby’s role in the movie is wrapped, and we’re moving onto the next chapter, apparently titled “The End of the Play.” I’m not sure whether this indicates we are speeding towards a conclusion or not, but ever-present villain Kamiki seems determined to finally play his cards and match them against Aqua’s plan. Who will triumph? Will vengeance be had? Can Akanepleasejust have a happy ending? We’ll learn all that and more inOshi no KoChapter 148 and beyond.
