Waiting for the OlliOlli crossover…

Last year a group of former Telltale and Disney employees came together to formNight School Studio. At GDC this morning, the indie developer unveiled its first project, “supernatural teen thriller”Oxenfree.

The studio’s Telltale DNA is readily apparent from the trailer, with a focus on giving the player dialogue options and delivering an intriguing narrative. I’m really digging the vibrant, jade-heavy palette, and the two-dimensional gameplay allows for a lot of high quality artwork to serve as the backdrop. Perhaps that’s the Disney influence in practice.
