Layton journeys to a new world After a strong showing ata recent Nintendo Direct, Level-5 hosted alivestream todayspotlighting some of its upcoming titles. Though every title was already known, we did get some details on what looks like a packed line-up for Level-5. Today’s stream featured the reveal of a newMegaton Musashi, dubbedMegaton Musashi: Wired. Alongside the mech action title, we also got some details on the newInazuma Eleven: Victory Road, the cop RPGDecapolice,Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and the newProfessor Laytongame....

Just yesterday we brought you what is possibly the most depressing rumor I have ever read:Beyond Good and Evil 2had been canceledand the game’s creator Michel Ancel had left Ubisoft. That rumor has been debunked through French gaming siteGameBlog.frwho says that Ancel is still with the company andBeyond Good and Evil 2is still being worked on. The site (translated by Googlehere) says that they got in touch with both Ubisoft France’s PR people and their own inside sources at the company and they all denied the rumor emphatically....

Out in Japan Sword Art Online: Lost Song, the PS3 and Vita follow-up toHollow Fragment, has been out in Japan for a few months now, but it’ll get a few updates on May 28. Week ending 2/1 January has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some great games to play. Just look at all the amazing “indie” games that hit the PC this month. We had the fruition of two KickStarter campaigns finally see the light of day —The Banner Sagaand the first act of Double Fine’sBroken Age —the quirkyOctodad, and the totally radOlliOliion PS Vita. There was definitely some great stuff to keep us busy this month, and February is looking just as smooth....

No pre-orders So uh the NES Classic Edition? It’s a Nintendo thing, you’d expect that it would be poorly rolled out by now, and it seems like that’s the case. It’s a commonplace strategy where the publisher thinks that no one will buy their stuff, and then coyly responds “we didn’t know we’d have this demand” afterward. If you didn’t get in on the first round of the NES Classic pre-orders at various retailers, you might be stuck....

Any excuse to have more Bloodborne in my life As much as I don’t typically go for comics based on games, I’m willing to make an exception forBloodborne, whether it’sfan-createdor officially sanctioned. Anything to get me back in this horrific universe. With that in mind, I’m very curious to see how Titan Comics adapts the IP next year. Its first issue,Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep, will be out physically and digitally in February....

More AAA titles on the way As part of theirannual financial report, Ubisoft has revealed that they still have three more AAA titles to launch before the end of the fiscal year (March 2020). When you include the currently-in-developmentGhost Recon Breakpoint,that makes for four major games winging their way from the publisher. No details were given as to what these three titles are, so we don’t know if we’re looking at whole new IPs, third-party projects, or just another run of annual sequels....
