Today, Bethesda Softworks announced a long-term development partnership withEnemy Territory: Quake Warsdeveloper, Splash Damage. The child of this partnership has yet to be announced, but Bethesda and Splash Damage are pleased as punch to be in bed with one another. Studio teams with streamers for mystery game Splash Damage, the British developer behind the multiplayer modes for many hit titles, has announced that it has begun development on a brand new “AAA” title, currently codenamed “Project Astrid”. The studio, which is also currently beavering away on online actionerTransformers: Reactivate, were tight-lipped on details pertaining to the new project, although it did reveal that Project Astrid will be an “open world survival game” and is being developed in collaboration with popular streamers Mike “Shroud” Grzesiek and Chris “Sacriel” Ball....

Still on course for 100 games in 2021 Google has stated that cloud gaming platform Stadia is “alive and well.” The statement comes from the industry giant following a slew of headlines that suggest the Stadia platform — still in its relative infancy — is suffering from numerous setbacks. “We’re well on our way to over 100 new games launching on Stadia in 2021, and we’re continuing to make Stadia a great place to play games on devices you already own,” said development marketing lead Nate Ahearnin a statement to GamesIndustry....

I have a very loud laugh. Some people say it is infectious, but I have been paranoid about it my entire life.
