The publisher is not known to frequently tease or even release games on any regular sort of schedule, but they’re due for one now thatRed Dead Redemption 2has been in the books for a while now. There’s always rumors of aBully 2rumbling around (since 2009, actually), but a new teaser released on the official Rockstar site has actually gone and used the word “bullying,” potentially getting our hopes up....

Merchandise on retailer database CharlieIntel, an infamousCall of Dutybreaking news site, is reporting that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4will indeed be this year’s series entry from Activision. The site received images, supposedly from a GameStop employee, which shows merchandise listings for the retailer. The pictures show a selection listings for shirts and other gubbins, taken from the GameStop internal database. This supposed evidence aligns with previous news from other sources — includingEurogamerandMarcus Sellars— that also stated the billion-dollar franchise will be returning to itsBlack Opsside-series for 2018....

The mysterious legacy of theSonic 3soundtrack has reared its head once again, as Sega has revealed that upcoming retro compilationSonic Originswillnotfeature the original score from the 1994 release. Instead,Sonic 3 & Knuckleswill feature an “adapted” soundtrack, faithfully recreated by composer Jun Senoue. Sonicfans had been awaiting news on theSonic Originssoundtrack situation, well aware thatSonic 3score is mired in misty red tape due to thealleged input of one Michael Jackson, who supposedly composed some of the game’s tracks despite not actually being credited in-game....

It’s plain as day by now thatHelldivers 2is a cornerstone release for both Sony as its publisher and Arrowhead as its developer, but the buck doesn’t stop atcrossover content. Sony has just announced that there’s aHelldiversfilm in production, alongside an adaptation ofHorizon: Zero Dawn. You read that right: Sony Pictures is now working on an honest-to-goodnessHelldiversfilm, as shared by none other than Geoff Keighley on Twitter. Further,IGN has reportedon an upcoming collaboration between PlayStation Studios and Columbia Pictures to produce a re-telling ofHorizon: Zero Dawn, which is in a category all of its own....

Dontnod Entertainment is trying out some new ideas withRemember Me, and while that’s admirable, I’m worried about how the concepts will pan out in the full game. This new footage delves into the combat, starting right off the bat with intentional visual glitches that indicate the player’s low health. In theory, that seems potentially neat and fits in with the game’s themes, but I can’t be the only one who finds it distracting and visually unappealing....

Out now It feels like forever ago thatBroken Age(Act 1,Act 2), one of the first great Kickstarter successes, actually came out. It kind of was as it came out in January 2014 (which is “forever” in gaming years), but its art style stayed with me even if some of its puzzles didn’t. A newly released art book from Dark Horse Books makes that even easier to do. It’s hard to describe just why I connect so deeply withBroken Age‘s world....

The war goes on, and soon, beyond the city Ubisoft has announced that mercenary shooterTom Clancy’s The Division 2is getting a free weekend this coming weekend, letting everyone jump into the carnage of an oppressed Washington D.C. gratis. The free weekend will run between June 13-16. We also heard a variety of details pertaining to the multiplayer shooter’s upcoming Year 1 content, currently being delivered in “episodes”. Episode 1 is on the horizon, arriving in July, and Episode 2 will follow later in Fall....
