This Batman: Arkham Knight trailer is disappointing

‘Batmobile trailer,’ I should say The first Ace Chemicals Infiltration video forBatman: Arkham Knightrekindled my excitementand, looking over your comments, I was far from alone in that regard. But this? Come on now. It’s almost entirely scripted footage of the Batmobile blasting away at “heavily armoreddronetanks” (I take back my laughter re: Batman seemingly throwing out his no-kill rule). My favorite part is the opening shot of him staring at the camera — those graphics!...

This Batman: Arkham Origins Knightfall costume rocks

It’s only on PS3, though TheArkhamseries is no stranger to offering extra costumes, but this Knightfall skin — which is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version ofBatman: Arkham Origins— is so damn cool. There’s also the Classic TV Series character skin, which looks especially silly and out of place in the dark, serious world ofArkham Origins, and five bonus maps: two Combat, two Predator. I wouldn’t worry so much about the extra challenge maps, as there’s never really been a shortage of them in these games, but they are a nice bonus....

Windbound’s gameplay trailer has Breath of the Wild vibes

Luckily, it’s coming out in August Windboundstrikes a particular mood in this gameplay trailer, and as someone who dugThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildenough to enjoy a (likely) lesser take on its exploration-focused format, I’m up for it. There’s bow hunting, mushroom foraging, and a desert creature that swims through sand. We’ve touched onWindboundbefore, but this footage is worth covering for those of youwho might’ve missed it(or forgot this game even exists)....

YIIK is precisely the right amount of weird

Alex’s Weird Mysteries Weirdness is a taut rope to walk — too little and it distracts, too much and it’s overpowering. It has to be just the right amount, mixed with enough sincerity to keep the whole affair from feeling twee or, even worse, smug. From what I played,YIIK’s sincerity doesn’t lie in any sort of emotional resonance (see also:Deadly Premonition‘s surprisingly affecting climax). I didn’t expect it to; I played a 30 minute-ish sliver of a 25+ hour game, that’s not exactly where most storytellers throw their hardest emotional punches....

Aqua Aqua is the sequel to the moist-maker Wetrix

Oh no, you can’t skip the tutorial Wetrixwas aneasily overlookedlittle puzzler. Released in 1998 for the N64 before getting ported to PC and Dreamcast, it was unconventional, to say the least. While the name is probably supposed to remind you ofTetris, there’s a lot more to it than trying to wipe out a wall of tetrominoes. The goal is to wall up areas to hold water, and doing a good job rewards you with ducks....

Bow to Blood has a nice art style, but what else?

I guess VR Black Flag could be neat As Sony moved onto the VR portion of their stream, we got a look at a couple of new first-person styled VR games. One,Bow to Blood, is a game that looks really similar to the ship combat fromAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It also has a really great looking art style, but it seems so slow paced. As detailed by the hosts,Bow to Bloodwill feature procedural generation for its game world and will center on a fantasy TV reality show setting....
