Gross! It’s not clear if he was teasing something he’s been considering, or if something real is actually in the works, butResident Evil Retributionproducer Paul W.S. Anderson brought up aMonster Hunterfilm during an interview with Japanese siteCinema Today.
When asked what property he would like turned into a film next, Anderson responded, “Recently, I’ve been loving Monster Hunter! A film conversion is currently in planning.”
Again, asAndriasangsays, it’s not clear if he’s planning/working on a conversion, or if he’s just toying with the idea and the interviewer (and us).
One one hand, it’s a huge franchise that would do well just on the name. On the other, I think it would make for terrible movie material.
