If you’re waiting until later this year

Remember theHalo Infinitetest period this past week? About that! Dataminers got their hands on it, and apparently there were campaign spoilers galore hiding within its framework. As a result, “roughly 800 lines of text” have allegedly been leaked, including a “twist” for theHalo Infinitestoryline. Yep,Halospoilers are out and about.

According to Neowin, the spoilers are via a plain text dump, which is now being circulated around the internet, similar to whenLast of Us Part 2was widely spoiled. That said, it isn’t the full enchilada, so even if you do come across some sort of “got ya” post, not everything is fully revealed. That said, the “twist” allegedly appears “later in the game,” so there’s that.

Halo spoilers

While the dump was originally questioned, the fact thatHalospoilers exist in the test build was laterconfirmed byInfiniteteam member Joseph Statenas legit. Here’s his statement:

“Hey folks, heads up: we unintentionally included a small number of #HaloInfinite campaign files in the tech preview build. Unfortunately, these files contain spoilers. Leaks like this are painful for the dev team and can ruin the campaign experience for everyone. So please, keep you eyes peeled for spoilers and don’t spread them if you see them.”

Things happen, but datamining is such a prevalent part of every major gaming community, that if it exists in a build’s files in any form, someoneis going to find it. I’m sure Microsoft is looking into shoring up whatever their nextInfinitetest is going to be; and I do hope there’s another one, as I’m eager to jump back intoInfinite, and the test build went completely defunct after this past weekend’s session. Good luck avoidingHalospoilers for (checks watch), a few more months!
