Society is hellbent on hooking everyone up to a neural network – a new reality that’s “continuously optimizing [the] user experience by processing personal data” – and our boy Nathan is one of the few willing people capable of turning off the augmented virtual reality to see the world through clear eyes.

The game is running with familiar themes, but that can be cozy in its own right.

VirtuaVerseis an unlikely collaboration between Theta Division and Blood Music, a metal label turned first-time video game publisher. I remember hearing about it ages ago. It’s nice to see it finally land.
