4A Games has rolled out demos for the revampedReduxreleases ofMetro 2033andLast Lighton Xbox One and PlayStation 4, each offering “about one-third of the total game.” For free.
The trial forMetro 2033 Reduxcovers the first eight chapters, up to Dead City.Metro: Last Light Redux‘s sampling spans nine chapters, up to Theatre. Should you want to continue the adventure from there, the demos can be upgraded to full versions ($24.99 each) with your progress retained.
4A CEO Dean Sharpe says the move was inspired by the shareware days ofDoom. Gotta say, that’s a real good time and place to draw from. The industry could use more of that attitude.
