It appears that 2025 will be a busy year for Obsidian, and Avowed might not be the only big release.The Outer Worlds 2is also going to release next year, although a specific date is yet to be announced. That said, it’s going to be a day one addition to the Xbox Game Pass on both PC and consoles.
Talking of platform, the sequel is going to be available on the PlayStation at launch. This will be great news for those who are exclusively tied to Sony’s console, and they won’t be missing out on any of the action.

The central theme, once again, appears to be pretty similar to the first title. Players will be going back to the future, with the aim of “not messing it up” once again. It will be interesting to see if Obsidian might be able to take the IP to the next step with their upcoming project, and when they give out an exact release date.
The Outer Worlds is certainly an underrated gem, which has been well-supported over the years with the help of post-launch content. Something similar might take place once again, but it all depends on what Obsidian has in plans. For the time being, waiting appears like the only option till the game becomes available for pre-order.
