Classic Homer

You know that scene in Bart the Daredevilwhere Homer falls down a mountainin Looney Tunes fashion? It was burned in my brain when it aired on TV at the time. And it’s all I think about when I see some of the silly fall physicsZelda: Breath of the Wildvideos, including this one.

Shared by TheZomb1eMonk3y, this clip is just a straight comedy of errors, and after watching it, looking back at the title “I’m the best player there is,” and looking again at the video, I laughed out loud.

Breath of the Wild videos

It’s best to just watch it, but they use theMagnesisability to try and angle a box to block a Guardian shot, only to have it fall on them, and then the Guardian blasts them anyway. It knocks them off the cliff, they take full life fall damage, thenresurrect(!), then die again. It’s a work of art. Maybe Nintendo can make it an NFT!

The physics system is part of the fun of these types ofBreath of the Wildvideos. I think if I had to choose just one category that has dominated the rest, it would be “clips of Link falling in a cartoony way.” There’s something so satisfying about seeing people fail in this game, as the danger of restarting is just so low, so you’re able to have a lot of fun with it.SekiSoulsBorneclips draw out a more sadistic reaction, as some players desperately try to finish off a boss with just a sliver of health, or spend hours attempting to best a zone, only to fall flat on their face.
