Wins 6 awards
The Game Critics Awards, a group of 30 top North American video media outlets, have just released their Best of E3 awards. These are the top games shown at E3 in playable form, nominated by judges from each outlet.
Destructoid is one of the 30 voting publications, with yours truly serving as the judge. I can tell you that this list makes me happy. It seems my peers and I were on the exact same page this year. Yay forTransistorandNeed for Speed: Rivals, two of my favorites from the show. I’m especially glad to see the Oculus Rift take an award — it continues to blow me away.
Respawn’sTitanfallgets a lot of love for this round of CGAs, with a record-breaking 6 E3 awards. This lovely game — which was alsoDestructoid’s Game of the Show— actually won all of the categories it was nominated for.
Another key stat shows that the PC is the top platform for awards this year, with 11 of the 14 winning games playable on it.
