Jade Shadowsis a core story update forWarframethat will take players past the Whispers in the Walls content and deeper into the game’s narrative when it finally arrives.
Warframeis regularly updated with new content throughout the year. For more than a decade, it’s entertained players with a steadily expanding universe that shows no signs of slowing down, even if its updates add new dimensional pockets rather than substantial planets. The next update,Jade Shadows, is a smaller one in scope but it aims to pack a big punch when it comes to the amount of story it’s going to throw in.
When does Warframe: Jade Shadows release?
Warframe: Jade Shadowsreleases in June 2024. We don’t have an exact release date at the time of writing because developer Digital Extremes isn’t sure when the update will be ready. This is likely going to be the last update before TennoCon 2024, so the whole month is open for it.
What’s new inWarframe: Jade Shadows?
The first new feature inWarframe: Jade Shadowsthat players are already expecting is a new Warframe, Jade.
Jade is poised as the opposition of the Stalker, an angelic Warframe with abilities that have a choral flair to them, making it move as if it’s singing at the top of its lungs. Its abilities focus on being a support and debuff character, so it’ll help fill in that for teams that need it. If, like me, you play moreWarframesolo than with randoms, then these abilities will help you soften up foes before blowing them away with powerful weapons.
Jade Shadowswill also add a new cinematic mission that explores the Stalker, a character most players should be familiar with. In this update, you’ll bring the Stalker’s secrets to light and lay them out for all to see.
Alongside this fairly succinct mission, which would last around 30 minutes, you’ll also get new Ascension mission types, which have not been detailed yet. There’s also a new Clan Operation being introduced called Belly of the Beast, which we’ll know more about as we get closer to the release of the update.
Finally, you can expect to see a new ship cosmetic flying around the system afterJade Shadowsdrops. A Stalker-themed cosmetic will be available to all who unlock it, and it’s a suitably creepy and ancient-looking ship that will help you strike fear into your enemies.
